The UEFA Europa Conference League, introduced in 2021, is a relatively new competition in European football. Designed as a third-tier tournament behind the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League, it provides an opportunity for mid-tier European clubs to compete on the continental stage. Despite being a fresh addition, it has quickly gained popularity, allowing clubs from less prominent leagues to achieve European success.
Several teams have already emerged as strong performers in the short history of the competition. AS Roma’s victory in the first season set a high standard, while West Ham United followed with a powerful showing the next year. Feyenoord and Fiorentina have also demonstrated their strength by reaching the finals, though they fell just short of claiming the trophy. AZ Alkmaar’s win in 2024 further illustrated the openness of the competition, where various clubs from across Europe have the potential to succeed.
The UEFA Conference League final 2026 will be the final match of the 2025–26 UEFA Conference League, the fifth season of Europe's tertiary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the second season since it was renamed from the UEFA Europa Conference League to the UEFA Conference League. It will be played at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany, on 27 May 2026.
The winners will qualify to enter the league phase of the 2026–27 UEFA Europa League, unless they have already qualified for the Champions League or Europa League through their league performance (in which case the access list will be rebalanced).
